This trimester, I made a weird creature. It's a creature that I created. It looks like a fish and a duck. I used foil paper, newspaper, and paper towel to shape the creature. I will continue adding the paper towel and paint it eventually. It had a standing problem at first. I didn't know how to make it stand, but I overcome this problem. It is not standing perfectly, but it can stand.

Olafur Eliasson
Olafur Eliasson is a Danish-Icelandic artist. He is famous for sculptures and large-scale installation. He uses materials like light, water, and air temperature to enhance the audience's experience.
He is probably my favorite blog artist so far. I really like how he use the material to shorten the distance between him and the audience. The audience can feel that they are in the art. This is what I want in an art museum.
I feel like his work has a really strong visual impact to the audience. It's also very modern in some ways because it's very colorful.

He does a lot of painting, sculpture, prints, collaborations, and commissions. His paintings are really colorful and abstract.
Johns makes his sculptures in wax first, then he would work on the details. He would finish up the piece with patina.
He usually does some normal things in daily life, like his friend's foot.

Claes Oldenburg is an American sculptor. He did some pop art and modern art.
He usually enlarge some normal things and turn it into a super cool sculpture. Like cherry, match, ice cream, and apple. He would put them into natural life, which is combining the sculpture really well.

Nick Cave
Nick Cave was born in Fulton, Missouri in 1959. He created "Soundsuits." It fully conceal the body. It's like the second skin for alien that cover skin, race, and class. People can see it without any bias.
Cave usually dance in front of people to inspire them.
I really like how the person stand and the outfit. The material and the big head is really intriguing.

Puppet Making
Making a puppet is really complex. There are many steps.
There are initial planing, carving the foam base, covering the foam with fleece, and the final assembly.
The stitches are also very important. There are the whipstitch,
the locking whipstitch,
the baseball stitch,
and the ladder stitch.
Then people can start to create a character to make!
